The flexible heating element is suspended in a thermal insulating cartridge to provide maximum heat transfer with minimum risk of flask breakage. Solid, with mesh stainless steel liner, which protects against fluid spills, with central aperture to accommodate round-bottom and pear-shaped flask and 60° funnels. For round bottom flasks, pear-shaped flasks and 60° funnels (Mantle is open at the bottom). Polypropylene outer case is resilient and chemically- resistant. Heating mantle has a "V"-shaped design for large, pear-shaped and round-bottom flasks. The bottom opening allows 60° funnels of various diameters to be accommodated. For power control of heating mantles of the HM series, electric Bunsen burners and heating tapes. Each controller has two neon indicators: White neon "Power On" and amber neon "Mantle/Bunsen Heater On". When the control knob is turned clockwise, the power increases and the amber indicator light begins to pulse. As soon as the maximum power is reached, the lamp lights up continuously. There is a clamp on the rear of the controller for attaching a rod (Ø 12 mm).
